The nautical contiditons on the Oder can vastly vary due to high tide in the spring and low tide after extented droughts in the summer. Due to the differences in water-level and current swiftness, the Oder is considered a challenging waterway and should only be shipped by experienced skippers. The fairway markings on the bank should be followed.
